Worthey Pet Care:

The Worthey Pet Care Foster Program is designed to provide safe, loving, and temporary care for pets who are awaiting adoption, recovering from medical procedures, experiencing housing transitions, or have been displaced. This program includes two primary pathways:

1. Community-Based Pet Fostering – where vetted individuals and families temporarily house and care for pets.
    
2. In-House Facility Fostering – where Worthey Pet Care provides foster accommodations at our professional pet care center.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
   
• Provide proof of residence (renter’s must have landlord permission).
   
• Must pass a background screening and basic home inspection (virtual or in-person).
   
• Must complete a short training course provided by Worthey Pet Care (online or in-person).
   
• Must have no history of animal abuse or neglect.
   
• Must be willing to commit to minimum fostering periods (usually 2 weeks–3 months depending on the pet’s needs).

• Exotic pets (with special vet clearance)
   
• Special needs or elderly pets

• Starter care kits (food, toys, leashes, crates, litter, etc.)

• Scheduled wellness checks by Worthey Pet Care professionals
   
• Covered veterinary expenses (through partner clinics)
   
• Behavioral support for pets adjusting to new environments
   
• Optional financial stipend depending on pet care complexity

• Short-Term Emergency Fostering (3–14 days)
   
• Standard Fostering (1–3 months)
   
• Extended Stay (3+ months, case-by-case basis)

• If a foster family falls in love with the pet, they are eligible for a Foster-to-Adopt application, with discounted or waived adoption fees after a minimum foster period.

Worthey Pet Care maintains a structured, climate-controlled, and emotionally enriching foster space within our facility. This is ideal for:

• Pets awaiting adoption but needing short-term care.
   
• Owners in transition (hospitalization, moving, military deployment).
